I think people need to stop faking things if you don't want to do something then simply tell the person. My reason for saying this is that it hurts to be let down all the time and if it doesn't hurt it pisses you off and after a while the person will begin to stop trusting your words and see everything as just a possibilty and that damages any relationship with a person.
